The free REDkit mod creation editor for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available to all owners of the game on PC.
CDPR have put a lot of work in behind the scenes to make the REDKit launch a possibility and we have worked closely with them to provide support in any way we can. We're excited to see what mod authors will be able to do with the REDKit as it opens up a whole new world of modding for the game.Are you a Witcher 3 player?

this is exciting. CDPR making good on promises after 12 years goes a long way to pull them out of the swamp that is their long term rep at this point, they did bad things and they're making good on their pledge to redemption. I hope it doesn't suck though lol.

Will take a lot more than making good on a decade-old promise to pull CDPR out of the swamp. The stuff that studio pulled with Cyberpunk was nothing short of corrupt.

Hey, they got Keanu Reeves back for Cyberpunk DLC. They are at least committed to trying to get Cyberpunk to at least neutral... or am I missing something? 'Nothing short of corrupt'?

Absolutely. Had it been a conventional market with much more people involved rather than a modding website, this would 100% be considered as a vertical competition violation.

True, especially with how greedy Nexus has become. The increased subscription cost and removal of one-off payments has left a sour taste in my mouth

It also supports publishing to the Steam Workshop. It's perfectly reasonable imo for them to add special support for publishing to the most popular mod repositories.

Thanks, this is indeed valuable source of information. I guess for someone how knows how to use redkit this might be a helpfull page. But I was a bit overwelmed by the amount of information on this page. And this guide seems to be mainly about wwise which seems to not really have changed from before the next gen update. My main concern is redkit itself tbh.

hi i got witcher 3 on epic games and i have the redkit kit and it is in my library as 1 dlc in my witcher game..but i cant download or do anything with it at all,even tried to reinstall it all together..
So how do i get this into my pc? as i said i reinstalled it n still nothing(i went into the game n tried to get it to on for dlcs,but always switch to off at once again)
So please help me w this(i dont have money to buy game on steam and gog to get this working)

I'm experiencing the same error right now. I reported the REDkit addon as being unable to be downloaded, so I'm hoping that they can resolve it sometime soon.In the meantime... most of my mods are dead.

While i did love the Withcer 3 and happy i played it, awesome story, char depth and just an epic game, i never liked the gameplay. Combat felt aweful to me and remember how much i hated it. Idk much about modding and its possibilities. But if there's a chance gameplay gets an overhaul, so that it feels cool and natural, then omg, i would love it!

I've never heard anyone dislike the combat in W3 before but surely there will be mods for it or you could make one yourself - imho though it's already near perfect

Dude that is probably the most abundant complaint. The difficulty is locked behind managing stupid potions and people don't like that.

There are some combat reworks you can find. Personally I extremely enjoyed Ghost mode mod on death march difficulty.

In agreement with the OP, I absolutely loved the W3 story and characters, but I was extremely disappointed with the combat mechanics. I'm hoping that creative modders will use REDkit to create some exciting alternatives to the vanilla combat gameplsy.

True. Horrible gameplay and mechanics. Unfortunately true of every Witcher game. An overhaul of 3's would be great, not to mention better alchemy. Get an ingredient for a potion once, always create said potion (if I remember correctly). That's just wrong. Maybe remove Witcher Sense altogether so there's far less hand-holding.
