Teen Mom star Janelle Evans was recently granted a restraining order against her estranged husband David Eason.
And while Evans, 32, busies herself with filming the next season of the MTV franchise, Eason, 35, has decided to continue his fledgling rap career with the release of a new single.
Eason debuted the hip-hop track, titled My Year, with a live performance shared to YouTube and Instagram on Wednesday.
Perched behind the mic, the North Carolina native started the track by saying, 'It's supposed to be a country song. I didn't write country - I wrote some rap on this beat!'
He then launched into a rap, spitting, 'I step up on the mic and I do what's right / I let you all know I'm coming for that ass tonight.'

He continued, 'So get right with God / and don't be slipping / Get your boots strapped up / Get your mamas out the kitchen.'
Despite his best efforts, the former reality star was savaged by Teen Mom fans in the comments section, with one branding him 'Broke Malone'.
Another commented, 'This is the most unemployed sound I've ever heard.'
'It’s like we're watching a terrible audition on American Idol!' joked one.
Eason released his first hip-hop single, Please Don't Make Me, back in October, with the track reaching over 100,000 views on YouTube.
After Evans filed for separation from her husband of nearly seven years, she and her three children were granted a restraining order against Eason, 35, according to The Sun.
The six-month domestic violence protective order requires Eason to surrender his firearms.

Additionally, he is not allowed contact of any kind with Evans or her children, including posting about them on social media or visiting the kids' school.
Eason did not have any representation in the North Carolina courtroom after he asked for multiple continuances to obtain a lawyer.
The restraining order comes as Evans and Eason are involved in an active child custody case over their 7-year-old daughter Ensley Jolie.
Evans also shares son Jace Vaughn, 14, with ex Andrew Lewis, and 9-year-old son Kaiser Orion with ex Nathan Griffin.
The 16 & Pregnant alum filed for legal separation from Eason in February, citing his recent 'erratic behavior' and accusing him of 'substance abuse.'
Evans also referenced when Eason killed the family's French bulldog puppy Nugget in 2019, as well as his assault on Jace, after he was charged with child abuse for allegedly strangling the teenager in October.
Jace was placed in the custody of CPS and ultimately reunited with his father earlier this year after running away multiple time.
Evans revealed in February that CPS dismissed their case against her and Eason.
Last month, Evans announced that she was pulling her children out of class and homeschooling them for the rest of the year after she 'found out their school is not safe.'
The mother-of-three said she 'wouldn't go into detail about that,' adding: 'I want to keep them safe, I want to keep them at home, I want to keep my eye on them.'

The MTV star has pulled her children out of school and is considering moving her family to Florida
Evans is reportedly considering moving from her native NC to Florida after she was 'touring two or three homes in the Central Florida area' earlier this month, according to TMZ.
The homes are close to where her Teen Mom co-star Briana DeJesus lives in Kissimmee.
Evans previously revealed that she's returning to the MTV franchise with an appearance in season two of The Next Chapter
'Yayyyy, I can finally say yes... I'm back!' wrote Evans on Instagram with a teaser, in which she declares, 'I think it'll be good to have a fresh start.'
Season two of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter premieres May 30 on MTV.
